About the event
The Pharisees are commonly recognised as opponents of Jesus and his disciples. For many the term Pharisee is synonymous with hypocrisy and legalism, yet the New Testament accounts give very little information about them. Much of what Christian readers have come to believe is based on certain traditional ideas that have been passed through the generations.
This teaching will explore some of the extra-Biblical sources which provide additional insights into who the Pharisees were along with some of their contemporaries.

Red Hill is a small Christian charity and relies on the provision of God through the giving of individuals to continue His work.
Tom is the Director at Red Hill, and oversees all aspects of the work along with his wife Olivia and daughters Elia & Tahli.
In 2011, God called Tom and Olivia to take a step of faith, to sell their house and for Tom to leave his job as a Police Officer, in order that they would be free to serve the Lord in whatever way He required.
Since then Tom has served both in the UK and abroad as a teacher and worship leader, serving with Ebenezer Operation Exodus since 2012 and as Director of Red Hill since 2017.
Tom is a passionate teacher and student with a particular interest in understanding the Hebraic context and culture of the Scriptures. He has been studying Biblical Hebrew with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem since 2012, and enjoys teaching others what he has learned.
