This is a family event with lots of fun and games and includes a fish & chip supper. Ticket price includes drinks and a contribution towards the fireworks. If you have a food allergy please contact the office before the 11th December

Hanukkah celebrates the miraculous provision of oil for the eternal light in the Temple, after its re-dedication following the Maccabees victory over the Greeks.

After the cleansing of the Temple the oil supply for the eternal light was only sufficient for one day, but God performed a miracle and it lasted for eight days until new oil could be pressed. This reminds us that Jesus is the light of the world; a light that will never go out!

Interesting facts:

• Holiday foods include latkes (potato cakes) and doughnuts fried in oil. The oil reminds us of the miracle!
