The Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot in Hebrew) is a week-long celebration, giving thanks to God for His provision as the autumn harvest is gathered in. It is a happy feast when we rejoice in God's faithfulness, protection, and provision.

Interesting facts:

  • Sukkot is a prophetic pointer to the time when God will ultimately dwell (tabernacle) with His people once again.
  • In Israel, many build temporary shelters to remember how the Hebrew people lived for forty years in the wilderness.
  • A 'lulav', made of willow, palm, and myrtle branches, is waved to the four points of the compass to symbolise God's presence everywhere.
