About the event

Every season brings a bounty of 'treasures' for our diets, medicines, store cupboards, and everyday preparations.  In this introduction to foraging, through each season, we will begin looking at these 'treasures' throughout the year, discovering what can be used for what, when, how, and where (to find).  There will be a short forage walk, some practical activities, and plenty of sharing time.  This session can be paired with a more detailed day in July.  Starts at 10.00 am (please meet from 9.45 am to be ready) and will finish between 3.00 and 3.30 pm, with a self-catered lunch at 1.00 pm.

The cost is £25 per person, please bring your own lunch.

"All courses will operate within government-approved numbers, these are different than “Social” gatherings as you are entering a Covid Secure Workplace. For example, all formally organised outdoor activities can return, where restricted group numbers can gather, which all bushcraft/survival and archery events at Red Hill will meet at all times."

Mark Kirby is Red Hill's Operations Manager and founder of Survival 24:7, a Bushcraft and Survival company with a twist! He has completed 2 years of extensive Survival and Bushcraft training, and he has led and instructed on an eclectic mix of outdoor events for young people and adults.

Mark is gifted in teaching, pastoral, and next-generation ministries, with a real heart to challenge Survival in every aspect of life and a passionate heart to deliver God's visions and plans at Red Hill.
